Franchisee Jules Jackson and her husband Dennis Lundy bring Chico coffee and smoothie lovers a new place to enjoy a taste of paradise with the opening of the beautiful new Maui Wowi® Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies drive-thru location in Chico, California.
Company representative, Misty Hartner, recently spent a week with the franchisees and their staff, helping to train everyone and get them up and running to serve the Chico community!
“The week was fun-filled and educational,” said Misty. “They learned all about the history of Maui Wowi and how to make our Hawaiian coffees, espresso drinks, and of course, our line of smoothies.”
Jules and Dennis have not only hired an amazing crew, they are turning their store into a true family operated business with their daughter as a Shift Lead and their son-in-law as the Store Manager. The entire staff fell in love with the brand and Hawaiian culture and really enjoyed taste testing all the products throughout the week.
Once the team was well-versed in Maui Wowi knowledge, they put their skills to the test at Friends and Family Night.
“Friends and Family night was a huge success! We had over a hundred people come in to see the new location and enjoy free samples from the entire menu,” said Misty.
With experience handling crowds, the store opened the very next morning to Chico coffee lovers and smoothie enthusiasts, keeping the staff busy all day long. Employees from the surrounding businesses also stopped by for their morning java after hearing a lot of great things about Maui Wowi.
This new Chico coffee and smoothie shop is a great addition to the community and the beginning of a successful future for these two local business owners.
