What is karma?
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, karma is the force created by a person’s actions that is believed in Hinduism and Buddhism to determine what that person’s next life will be like. A more generalized definition is that karma refers to the positive or negative consequences that occur from the actions of an individual.
Great ways to promote a general sense of good karma means paying it forward, giving back, and helping others. That motto is at the forefront of the Maui Wowi business model, both at the franchise headquarters as well as each individual franchisee. The business provides an outlet to help others and allows franchisees the ability to give back to their communities. As an ‘ohana, Maui Wowi puts forth a concerted effort to embody the Aloha Spirit the best we can.
Whether it’s volunteering, donating, or fundraising, spreading good karma is the name of the game. Many of our franchisees work events and donate a portion of their sales back to local organizations; supporting youth sports, school programs, and many other community focused groups.
In the spirit of the holidays, it’s a great time to give time and money to charitable organizations through donations and/or volunteering. Here are just a few ways to pay it forward and spread a little Aloha Spirit!
- The Red Cross helps in many ways from helping in disaster relief efforts, donating blood, giving to shelters and others in need.
